Afoko and his boys may think they are merely going to cause the defeat of Akufo addo in 2016. But if they knew that the survival of NPP depends on their success at the polls they will have put their personal interest aside and focus on the 'big picture'. In my own analysis, it will take NPP 16 more years to come to power if they don't focus on the main issues. Nobody in NPP should also think that causing the dawnfall of a man who has a majority of the support base at the grassroot will ever yield any succession benefits. There is the tendency of similar sabotage from Nanas side if the current opposing faction assumes the mantle of leadership. He who has wisdom let him listen.

UBA is owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria and so if Tekper wishes to invest Ghana Government's money why did he choose UBA over GCB, ADB or NIB which are Ghana Government owned.UBA used to be a British owned bank but the Federal Government of Nigeria nationalised it to become a fully owned bank of Nigeria because of patriotism. Tekper should have also been driven by patriotism to hand this juicy investment to Ghana Government owned banks, especially,when the motive is to invest in a Ghana Government treasury bills. In legal form, UBA is registered in Ghana but the substance of the Matter is that any profit made will be repatriated to Nigeria with lightening speed and Ghana will be back to square one notwithstanding the inflationary and exchange rate implications that will follow suit.
