Believe me, as people in marketing will attest, you sell to the customers what the customers want. How on earth did you guys come the conclusion that Nana is more electable than Alan Kyeremanteng or Isaac Osei? The NPP can make all the noise it wants, but the Ghanaian electorate will never elect a clueless flagbearer who has been labeled by the Alan Kyeremanten camp within the NPP as being "incompetent and a monumental failure". The NPP is dangling an incompetent and monumental failure Serial Loser Akufo-Addo before the electorate, with the hopes that the electorate will be blinded by the decetions and serial lies of the NPP. But the electorate has shown in the past that it's capable of seeing past the NPP veil of deceptions, and will again make sure that incompetent monumental failure Akufo-Addo's hook and crook will only fetch him his third loss in December.

Ms. Essiam, as a discredited political prostitute, why should you be taken seriously, especially when you assert even in the face of the numerous corruption allegations against Nana Akufo-Addo that he's not corrupt and that he's an "astute lawyer"? But do you know where he studied law? And if his law certificate is missing, as he claims, why wouldn't he apply for a replacement from the institution that awarded him the degree? Isn't it shameful for Ghana to vote to make a candidate president who has so many corruption allegations against him that he's stubbornly and arrogantly refused to address?

For ease of reference, I provide below some of the corruption allegations against Nana Akufo-Addo that I recently posted on Ghanaweb.com, that you, like the man himself, would like to merely wish away:

It's only in Ghana that someone as corrupt as Akufo-Addo can stand for and win his party's presidential nomination three times and can nearly become president. It's because of people like Dr. Nduom who know the truth about Akufo-Addo's corruption but won't say it that the latter is still standing tall and refuses to answer the corruption allegations against him. This is simply because corruption has indeed eaten deep into the very fabric of the Ghanaian society to the extent that it has become acceptable and seen as a normal phenomenon. It's like those who aren't corrupt and are not willing to engage in corruption are seen as being out of the main stream and find it difficult to live in the society.

Let's consider, for example, the allegation that Akufo-Addo's claim of being a lawyer is a lie. Indeed, he has insisted that he studied law overseas and was called to the Bar there, in England, specifically, but he doesn't have the moral courage to name the law institution that trained and awarded him the degree. All he's told Ghanaians is that his law certificate is missing.

There are those who for some reason have gained the impression that he studied law at the University of Oxford, but this University categorically denied that Nana Akufo-Addo studied law there but admitted that he was at the school for a year. In other words, he didn't even complete his first degree course there and the reason may have been that he was kicked out after having failed the course. This may have been the reason why he returned home and entered the University of Ghana where he earned a mere Third Class in Economics.

So, why should Ghanaians vote for such a candidate to become their president? But the most serious reasons Ghanaians must consider are the corruption allegations against him. Recently, Akufo-Addo has been going about claiming, among other things, that he's not corrupt. The Ghanaian electorate must therefore demand from him the need to address those allegations if he strongly believes that he's not corrupt.

Among the most serious issues Nana Akufo-Addo must address satisfactorily are the following:

1. Like former President Kufuor, you claim to be a lawyer, but you've so far failed to tell Ghanaians where precisely you earned your law degree. We do know that you were kicked out of the University of Oxford and that you returned home and entered the University of Ghana where you earned a mere 3rd class degree in economics. You said your law certificate is missing, but are there not legal ways and means of getting a replacement of your certificate if you did in fact earn it but lose the original?

2. As Attorney-General and Minister of Justice in the Kufuor administration, you oversaw the de-confiscation of your cousin Raymond Amankwah, a noted world cocaine baron's frozen assets and returned them to him. This Amankwah was arrested in Brazil for cocaine trafficking. By de-confiscating and returning his frozen properties to him, you Akufo-Addo enabled him to get away scott-free.

3. As Attorney-General, you in 2001 suddenly discontinued prosecuting one Frank Benneh for drug trafficking, a case that the then NDC's Deputy Attorney-General Mr. Martin Amidu, had started prosecuting vigorously.

4. As Attorney-General, you failed willfully to prosecute three NPP Dzorwulu branch drug queens who had been arrested in February 2002 at the Kotoka International Airport for attempting to export cocaine outside the country. Not only did the case vanish into thin air, but their dockets also mysteriously disappeared from your office.

5. Unlike any other NPP (or their antecedents of UP or Progress Party) leader or potential leader, you alone have been accused of drug addiction. Why is it so?

6. As Minister of Foreign Affairs, you issued at least 12 diplomatic passports (which actually were alleged to be missing) to your cronies. In fact, one of those passports was found with a Ghanaian cocaine leader who was arrested in Singapore.

7. The GNPC drill ship saga also hangs around your neck. What happened to the rest of the money from the sale of the ship? Remember, this case was mentioned against you in the Auditor-General's report. You were said to have caused financial loss to the state.

8. And when the history of the Fourth Republic is written, it will be indicated that it was the Kufuor's NPP administration that turned Ghana into a cocaine hub in the West African sub-region and that you were a key player in that administration.

9. Indeed, as a parliamentarian, you Akufo-Addo pushed hard for a law, dubbed "Amoateng Bill", to be promulgated to essentially permit Ghanaian drug offenders jailed in Thailand to be returned to Ghana to serve the rest of their terms.

10. As Foreign Minister during the Kufuor administration, your Ministry withdrew US$1,446,396.00 from its Special Collections Accounts of seven embassies without the prior knowledge and consent of the Controller and Account-General. Also, an amount of US$106,168.00 was misappropriated at the Ghana mission in Cote d'Ivoire

Nana Akufo-Addo, the above are among the pertinent corruption allegations against you that you must address. You can't merely ignore them and pretend that you're uncorrupt and incorruptible and so ask us the electorate to vote for you to become president of this dear country of ours. Which country is out there whose citizenry you suppose are so stupid as to ignore that kind of your background and so vote to make you president? You just can't throw dust into the eyes.

Ms. Essiam, the above are the corruption allegations against your man who you think will be the best thing to happen to Ghana if he becomes president. Please help him to address these allegations before you convince us to vote for him.
