Economics is a social science which studies human behavior in relation to scares means which have alternative uses. Dr. Bawumia, how can you ignore simple definition of economics and play with figures. In your presentation, you failed to factor in population growth and increase of current human wants. Dr. Bawumia, human wants are unlimited but resources to obtain these numerous wants are scare so there is a need to make a pending choice. There more the population the more human needs. How many schools did the npp built? zero. How many hospital? zero etc. Please and please punctuate you analysis well. You can't create problems with your own analysis and diagnose it and prescribe proscription for it. Be honest don't think you are the only person with statistics and economic background. Economy is build over a period of time and the benefit is also over a period of time. This is basic economics. The infrastructures will be built over a period of time, Ghanaians will benefit later. Just one example out of a whole lots is the university in the volta region, UHAS, do you know the time it took after completion, do you know how students are benefiting from it? Not to talk about the numerous lecturers and other non teaching staff? Dr. Buwumia come again.

At the end of the day economics is about scarcity and choice. Read the application and see whether it doesn't make sense. How do you ignore future development because of debts? Infrastructures over the period pays for itself if you do financial analysis on them. With time that infrastructure appreciates in value e.g. a building cost $ 2 m today, will cost more in say five years. So Dr. Bawumia did not do applied economics intellectual presentation. Please come again. I can go on and on.

His analysis was based on a perfect economic situation which does not exist. Am surprised that an economist of Bawumia ''s stature could make such a huge mistake and was hailed by all npp. Bawumia is rather trying to hoodwink Ghanaians by telling them that economic situations are perfect situations. He should go over his notes and get back to the drawing board.
