If the EC tries to disenfranchise people because they double registered, they'll be sued again. This year, supreme court is running the elections for us. Dump this EC.

All this rubbish would not happen if we had a form of national identification like social security numbers if you work or not. A kid is born, a number is generated for him within a month, and he uses that for school, hospital ...

All this rubbish would not happen if we had a form of national identification like social security numbers if you work or not. A kid is born, a number is generated for him within a month, and he uses that for school, hospital through to adult life. You die, the number is deleted from the system. Local authorities backed by law to ensure that no body is buried until the number ID is made available to the authorities. At the end of every month the ID’s are submitted to interested parties to cleanse their database. Is that rocket science.

Thanks for sanitising the presidential candidate list, At least all the jokers and desperate men have been removed. Now let the battle commence. To avoid such confusion in 2020, there should be a deadline for submission, a review by EC. Give the parties 1 week to correct forms for final submission.

Do the political parties have the exclusion list of the EC?
You cannot give the political parties a voters register that is supposed to be credible and you have compiled and handed to political parties as credible and then turnaround and say, the voter on that register you have compiled and given to the political parties is on some exclusion list, hiding in your bosom somewhere to be pulled out at your whims and caprices.
That registered voter's name should not even be in the voters register you have compiled and given to the political parties in the first place as your document.
The EC has clearly shot itself in the foot as a result of its lack of any credibility and transparency, and it has been revealed in this very instance.
The EC cannot toy with the peace, security and stability of this country on the altar of sycophancy, lack of credibility, lack of transparency, puppetry and downright incompetence.
That exclusion list must be made available now and the EC hauled before Court to explain why those on that exclusion list still have their name of the voters register and there has been no punitive action as demanded by the relevant legal provisions.

This country is not moving forward because of such stupid thinking and armchair CEOs like these fools.
