Numerous governments which have sheepishly followed IMF and their bookish economic policies have failed and bitten the dust. I do not understand why Mahama and his government thought they could be different. IMF policies enhances poverty and suffering and disregard thumb power in a democratic environment. Perhaps, their policies might work under a dictator like the one in Gambia, but never in Ghana where it is better to expand the economy, create more jobs which will in turn bring about labour market adjustments. NDC killed business, raised taxes and levies , increase fuel and utility prices drastically all within a short time and expected to be supported at the polls by the very people they hurt with their policies; never in empteen years in Ghana.
