A committee had been set up to investigate the causes of the failure of the party in the election. To pass these kind of comments while the work of the committee is in progress amounts to preempting and disrespecting the work of the committee. Mr. Rawlings could have waited for the committee to seek his views as to causes of the failure of the party at the last election or voluntarily present his opinion to the committee and not choose to go public, venting his emotion and disparaging the current leaders of the party.This kind of attitude of the former leader of the party is unhelpful and could potentially lead to the disintegration of the party. Too much of winning or expression of emotion in public is not doing any good to the party. This is the time to exhibit maturity, a bit of emotional intelligence and leadership qualities; and not be engaged in the blame game and insults of the current leaders of the party in public. Remember, as the old adage goes "You don't wash your dirty linen or dirty clothes in public"
For the party to forge ahead in unity and strength requires everyone on board - both sympathizers of Mr. Rawlings and the admirers of the last president, John Dramani Mahama.
Finally my admonition to all the leaders and members of the party - current and old,"United we Stand, divided we fall" And when the party becomes fragmented, weak and falls apart, mother Ghana and posterity would not forgive you.

Individuals LIKE RAWLINGS with narcissistic personality disorder generally believe that the world revolves around them. This condition is characterized by a lack of ability to empathize with others(eg. his callous remarks to the BBC after Prez Mills' death) and a desire to keep the focus on themselves at all times(he loves media attention and will do everything to get one, – SUCH AS GATE CRASHING A BIRTHDAY PARTY TO COURT ATTENTION - he does not want to leave the political scene - his appearance at the NDC congress in Kumasi notwithstanding his being sidelined by the Ahwois, Tsikatas, Kofi Awoonor, HIS U-TURN IN SAYING THE NDC WILL WIN 2012 AFTER SAYING THEY WILL LOSE). For the 2016 elections, he refused to show up at the final rally of the NDC – a party that he founded and allowed his wife to form a party outside the NDC. He has sought to hug the political space by allowing her wife to form her own party and at the same time have her daughter stand for the NDC. He is wishing JDM loses the 2016 election so that he can take over the NDC where he has been made irrelevant. Fact is even without his tacit support, JDM won the 2012 elections.
Now that Akufo Addo has won the elections, he is trying to lecture him on corruption. RAWLINGS SHOULD FIRST RETURN THE $5M bribe he took from General Abacha to the Nigerian people.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder involves arrogant behavior, a lack of empathy for other people, and a need for admiration(he loves the hero worshipping and superstar status)-all of which must be consistently evident at work and in relationships. People who are narcissistic are frequently described as cocky, self-centered, manipulative, and demanding(PHYSICALLY MALHANDLED VP ARKAAH, wanted to dictate to Kuffour, Mills and now Mahama) . Narcissists may concentrate on unlikely personal outcomes (e.g., fame) and may be convinced that they deserve special treatment. Narcissism involves cockiness, manipulativeness, selfishness, power motives(constant coup detats), and vanity-a love of mirrors. He was instrumental in founding the NDC and wanted his wife to take over from Mills but when the party rejected this at the Sunyani congress, he started supporting Akufo Addo. He at one time projected that the NDC would lose the 2012 elections and is doing same for the 2016. He wanted JDM to lose the 2016 elections so that he and his wife can have total control of the party. Now that JDM has lost, he will try to maneuver to assert his authority in the party but his efforts will be frustrated by the likes of Asiedu Nketiah, the Ahwoi brothers, Kojo Tsikata, Kwesi Botchwey, John Mahama, who have made money and command control in the party.
Wendy Terrie Behary, the author of Disarming the Narcissist: Surviving and Thriving with the Self-Absorbed, says that, “Narcissists are not necessarily liars, but they are notoriously uncomfortable with the truth. The truth means the potential to feel ashamed. It’s not that they’re cut out to lie, it’s just that they can’t handle what’s real.” It is no wonder that for the longest time he denied having received $5 million from the ex NIGERIAN DICTATOR, Abacha, only to recently accept that he did receive a lesser amount of $2 million. One other good example of a narcissist is the republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

It was once thought that narcissists have high self-esteem on the surface, but deep down they are insecure. Onlookers may infer that insecurity is there because narcissists tend to be defensive when their self-esteem is threatened (e.g., being ridiculed); narcissists can be aggressive(beating Arkaah and slapping his ministers). The sometimes dangerous lifestyle may more generally reflect sensation-seeking or impulsivity (e.g., risky sex, bold financial decisions, DRUG ABUSE, COUP D'ETATS, SUPPORTING DIFFERENT POLITICAL PARTIES).

NDC's loss was a lesson for them since they forget the voters who own the power and treated Ghanaians like they don't even exist. Corrupt practices , money draining policies on the citizenry harsh economic policies , non functional social institutions , there months salary arrears payment policy, scraping off students allowances , joblessness of the youth, name them. Who do we blame ? The outgone NDC gov't or The founder ? Analyse these facts and draw your conclusion but be objective. The ndc is not a church and its not for Jerry. There is a long history to Jerry's leadership to the party. He was never tte founder. He was first invited by the eagle party to lead them. The ndc also invited him to lead it. So when the ndc was at its congress in Cape Coast in 1992 he asked the eagle party to merge with the Ndc which he finally agrred to lead. Those of u in Cape Coast that time would realize that Jerry came very late when we had all almost dispersed. She has followed thevwife to destroy the party yet he stands on platforms to talk rubbish.
