Nukpenu, U are joker. U guys cause the NDC to lose the elections. U are up to it again. Politics is abt numbers and not sacking of members. U guys need to be serious ooo and stop the sacking of ppl here and there.

For the record, I am NOT a member of the NDC. I am an independent, and I analyse events in various circumstances. My comments here are based completely on the logic of the occasion. This Nupkenu may be too young to know that the NDC morphed out of the PNDC. He may also not know that the PNDC came into political being, out of a barrel of a gun. Specifically, out of the barrel of a gun wielded by Jeremy ah Rawlings John, also known as Jerry Rawlings. Nukpenu may also not know that when Jerry Rawlings mutinied, along with some of his friends in the Ghana Armed Forces, he committed high treason. That crime, attracts a punishment of death. Jerry Rawlings, committed such high treason, on two occasions. To make a long story short, once Jerry Rawlings succeeded in taking over the government, he stayed as the head of state for almost twenty years. Jerry Rawlings, was the original "babies with sharp teeth", on the Ghana political landscape, but in addition to his sharp teeth, he also had an AK-47 automatic assault rifle. He was educated, but not too well. He had limited understanding of economics and law, and he was impetuous and murderous. Out of his actions, came the NDC. Nukpenu, whether he knows it or not, is a successor to Rawlings. When the NDC emerged, Rawlings, to his credit, made an effort to make his new political coloration to be relevant. Men like E T Mensah emerged, as part of the effort to make the NDC a national political party - with members from every part of Ghana. It was apparently a tactical decision to use uneducated thugs from the Ga tribe and from the Northern and Upper Regions, as "footsoldiers", of the NDC. The "footsoldiers", act as the "Stormtroopers" acted in Nazi Germany. Nukpenu owes his position to Jerry Rawlings. Jerry was an absolute dictator, in his time. He had sweeping and unlimited powers. Anybody.who opposed Rawlings, was subject to being brutalised, or disappearing in the middle of the night. His goons, we're like the ton ton macoute of Haiti. The NDC has never had a strong tradition of."democracy", or freedom of expression. They call themselves "Social Democrats", but there is nothing "democratic", about their political philosophy. Nor is there anything "Social", about the way they approach government. They give lip service to working for the masses, but then screw the masses at every turn. Nupkenu should think again, about what constitutes "loyalty", in the party in which he works.
