If Kwashie understands that the reason Komla is not fielded is not because he is not a good player but because the strategy of the opposition demands another player, there will be trust.

As the coach, you need to play it down in order to ensure team work. Many players in the past have resorted to tricks and scheming in order to destroy their own team mates in order to be featured. Anthony Yeboah recently came out to talk about how the Black Stars became divided because he was not given the captain's arm band in Senegal '92. It's because those players who liked him thought it was a "competition" and that, since Tony Yeboah was not given the captain's band, the GFA was indirectly saying he wasn't good enough.
