I regard freedom of expression as the primary right without which one can not have a proper functioning democracy.

If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all...

Everyone is in favor of free speech. Hardly a day passes without its being extolled, but some people's idea of it is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone else says anything back, that is an outrage. Hmmm

Two things form the bedrock of any open society - freedom of expression and rule of law. If you don't have those things, you don't have a free country.

Of course, when 9th reads these things from the officials of any political party, one has to keep in mind that they are ALL jockeying to keep their jobs in their party. Many years ago, I read the foreword to George Orwell's book, "1984", and an interesting observation was made, which is that the most oppressive, undemocratic countries have the work "Democratic", in their official names. For example, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), and the Democratic People's Republic of Germany! The NDC has never been democratic. We saw Asiedu Nketia decree that no one may challenge Mahama in the NDC in the run up to this last election. We saw Zanetor come out of nowhere and simply waltz into a parliamentary slot even though she was apparently not even a registered member of the party. Even the constitution of the party is a some time thing.

Stop the lies and the noise otherwise in 2020 the verdict in the Central region would be NPP 23 , NDC 0. AJ, you and Nkansah, and Chief Binney should go back to CPP. NDC pretends the central region has a place in the party. No Akan in the central region believe any of you. The Northerners and Ewes are in a comfortable lead in the NDC. Period!
