Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

NDC HAS MILKED GHANA DRY: NDC guys are crooks. The other time Dr Apaak, a presidential staffer under Mahama, came out to claim that an amount of $5.9M was rather the cost of the new Veep Mansion. Then NDC Deputy Minority leader, James Klutse Avedzi, also said the amount is $5.0M. Now the NDC General Secretary is saying the amount is $3.5M. It is only the NPP that has remained consistent with $13.9 so far. It appears the NDC is not saying the truth. They are doing this to defend Thief Mahama at all cost. However, pressure mounted on the NDC has forced Allotey Jacobs, the NDC chairman for Central Region to admit guilt. He stated on Peace Fm that the fresh document from Consar on the cost of the project brings finality to the controversy surrounding the cost, adding that contesting the cost is impossible.“With what has come from Consar Limited, it is difficult to defend this issue. They are on the job and what they have put out settles the controversy surrounding the cost of the project. If Consar themselves have put out this information, then what do I have to say…nothing.” IT IS ONLY THIEVES WHO WILL ALWAYS DEFEND THEIR FELLOW THIEF AT THE PERIL OF THEIR LIVES.

Did this report highlight on why the NDC vehemently fights against the rights of Ghanaians in the diaspora but would cross borders to attempt to recruit Togolese, Burkinabe and Ivorian citizens to register for voting in Ghana? The cost of busing people from different cities and towns to deceive the world community, and use it as a disguise to rig elections has finally caught up with the NDC goons. This has been their decades old publicity stunt and one of their most effective weapon of deception, which was finally brought into futility by the maestro Joe Anokye, and his team. As far back as 1992, the NDC were hauling people to their campaign grounds from different locations around the country and would take pictures to elude the world community that their party was the most patronized party in the country. After that, they would use every means to inflate their numbers through diverse manipulative avenues to rig the elections. But last year, luck eluded them and their efforts hit a snag: by the relentless efforts of the NPP shrewd team, led by Joe Anokye of NASA. Now the NDC, is engaging in propaganda and noise making, because they know that coming back to power will be a tough nut to crack.
