Prof Gyampo is just as ignorant as others even as he pretend to know better. Was it not the NPP throughout it history of violence, tribal agitations and terrorism that preached to Ghanaians that multiparty system is better than the Nkrumah era unitary party system? So then, Dr. Gyampo and Kwasi Adade, what do you call a diabolical move hatched by the NPP to collapse a party by sending it's elected leader off as an Ambassador with intend to subvert the viability of the party? If Dr. Gyampo takes offense with Dr. Ayariga's use of colorful language to describe the ambassador-designate then perhaps Dr. Gyampo may want to also know that a classroom earned PhD is not, has never been and will never be synonymous with wisdom; there are plenty of classroom educated but igorant folks in academic Ghana and in official government period.

This is another sheer ignorance on the part of reporters. They dont even know the difference between a honorary degree and a PhD. What many illiterates like Ayarifa have been carving for is a honorary title. Those who are awarded these honorary degrees are not supposed to use 'Dr' as a title. Honorary degrees are just honorary and are are bestowed even by very suspicious institutions and NGOs. Ayarifa hasn't gotten to the stage where he can use 'Dr'. A good number of our so-called journalists do not know this so when Ayariga popped up and said he has a honorary degree and therefore should be titled as a 'Dr' our ignorant journalists started calling this arrogant creature as such. Stop it forthwith. Even the National Accreditation board has issued a warning in that light. In Ghana we never learn to do things right! if you care to know people like Spio-Gabrah, Gifty Anti, Joyce Aryee, Samuel Sarpong (for Kumasi mayor), Kwame Despite, Ofori Sarpong etc have all been warned to desist from using the title 'Dr' because they dont deserve that.

If I were in your shoes I would just let this issue stand as it is. A learned man as you hold yourself out to be which is rightly confirmed by the degree you have obtained , couple with the fact that you are teaching young ones , you failed to discern that what Ayariga said is to be understood in a certain context ( political party campaign issues )

You need a tutorial in REAL politics. You seem not to know what it is all about.. Quite often some of us wonder why the media focus on you to clarify political issues.

There are members of the larger society who knows these issues better but for the fact that they are NOT teaching at the institutions you guys teach, they are unknown.

You will admit this truth if indeed you are an honest man. Not everyone who studied political science is interested in teaching. This fact should make you humble in your position, because you are not the only person with such a training.

Now take note, Ayariga is a politician so he speaks from that angle. And truly he is right in saying the appointee is only going to serve as an " errand boy". Who is an " errand boy ?" He is someone a Master sends to do his bidding(s).

This is what Ayariga meant. It is simple and short. everyone knows this, you are making (with due respects ) a mockery of yourself by giving a twist to this simple definition and understanding.

There is nothing wrong in serving as a troubleshooter , which is what the appointee is! We need everyone to help build the country. If the president thinks this man has what it takes to help help him, there is NOTHING WRONG !

It is the likes of YOU who are muddling the waters. Is there anything wrong being an " errand boy?' It may sound derogatory but it is the truth.

Pomposity , intellectual arrogance , seeking the limelight with the view to reaping political patronage and privileges has blinded most of you on that Campus.

So my dear senior lecturer, revise your notes again. I would like to know the title of your thesis ; and the university so I read what scope and topic you delved in. Am asking just to further my education
