Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, says he cannot be bought by anybody to rescind his decision in vying for the position as General Secretary.
The outspoken politician told Kwame Tutu in an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that, nobody could buy me out any race. ‘’My conscience is clear and my heart is clean. I am speaking to the delegates and they know what they want.’’
‘’Sir John once said, ‘’Fear Delegates’’, but I will say, don’t fear delegates but respect delegates and don’t underestimate the delegates.’’ Mr Anyidoho said, delegates know what they want and so he would not be engaging in a media war with any person.
‘’I am not in a contest with anybody. The delegates know what they want. The delegates will speak. It is not a media war.
The delegates know what they want and they will speak.’’ Koku Anyidoho has also promised to desist from engaging in flamboyant campaigns.
He is championing a party first message, discipline and respect for party structures where sprinter groups would no longer be entertained when it comes to the marketing and managing of a flagbearer for the umbrella family.
‘’The party structures must be allowed to work and God willing, when I am elected as General Secretary, I will not serve on any board when we win power in 2020. When we win power, I will not serve on any board.
The party will stand strong and be supreme. The integrity of the country must be maintained. I will not serve on any board.’’
