Nene Kabutey, Director of operations of the Young Democrats, a pro-NDC group has called on the chief scribe of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, not to contest in the General Secretary of the Party race during in their upcoming primaries.
Nene Kabutey, in an interview on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’, said Asiedu Nketia stopped caring about the fortunes of the NDC long ago, instead, he is only interested in using the NDC to expand his Block production factory.
He added that “Asiedu Nketia is 61 years and if he was working in the civil service, he would be ripe for retirement so he must go’’
Another factor he believes is Asiedu Nketia’s disregard for the party’s founder, Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings.
He recounted bitterly how Asiedu Nketia said ‘’The NDC party is not a church to have a spiritual leader.’’
He assured Ghanaians that in the coming days, they will release a series of statements to validate their stance on the issues surrounding their request for Asiedu Nketia not to stand as the General Secretary of the NDC.
