The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman of the newly created Bono Region, Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye DC has hit hard at former President John Dramani Mahama for exhibiting hypocrisy over the issue of security in the country.

Mr. Mahama on the occasion of the 2019 May Day celebration, assessed the Akufo-Addo-led government and blamed him for the unprecedented insecurity in the country causing a major threat to foreign and domestic investors in the country’s economy.

But Abronye DC speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, said the former President has no credibility to talk about the issue of security in the country.

According to Abronye DC, between 2012 and 2014, about 181 Ghanaians were kidnapped under the regime of former President Mahama which nothing was heard of in these cases.

"Under the regime of former President Mahama, there were series of murder cases, killings and about 181 kidnap cases which nothing serious was done about them . . . where are the reports about all the murder cases, killing and kidnap cases which happened during his regime?" he quizzed.

He asserted that the NDC 2020 Presidential Candidate has not been fair to Ghanaians; thus the former President of Ghana is trying everything possible to cover up all his kidnapped cases to make his government appear good in the eyes of Ghanaians.

“ . . What did he (Mr. Mahama) do after hearing the leaked tape of his Chairman, Ofosu Ampofo? . . . what did he do for the Ghana Arm Forces in his regime?” he quizzed.

"Under former President Mahama’s regime, the issue of kidnapping was always pushed under the carpet to make his government look good which Nana Addo and his government will not do such a thing."

Abronye DC, however, patted the back of President Nana Addo's administration for the good work done in putting measures in place to strengthen the security in the country; thus, asking Ghanaians to rise up and vote massively against NDC and the former President Mahama comes 2020.
