There is a massive presence of the security officers at the St. Joseph’s Anglican Primary School at Ningo-Prampram, where members of the NDC are casting their vote in the party's ongoing parliamentary primaries.
The security personnel, a combination of personnel from the Ghana Police Service and the Military, are there to ensure a peaceful election process.
They were deployed to the constituency after Member of Parliament for the area hinted that some people were planning to foment trouble during Saturday's election.
According to him, some persons informed him that they had been hired to cause mayhem at the constituency to disrupt today’s activities.
Speaking on Eyewitness News on Friday, Sam George warned such persons to reconsider their evil intentions or risk facing the law.
He also called on security agencies to deal ruthlessly with such trouble makers.
Voting at the constituency started late due to the scrutinization of voting materials before polls opened.
However, party members have come in their numbers to cast their votes and the process has been peaceful so far.
