Minister of Local Government, Hajia Alima Mahama faces a herculean task of beating three other contestants before she will qualify as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) Parliamentary Candidate for Nalerigu-Constituency the Savannah Region.
MyNewsGh.com has confirmed that the former Minister of Gender under the erstwhile Kufuor regime, slugs it out with Deputy National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Peter Wuni, Mr. Mohammed Sampa, a Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in charge of Finance and Administration at the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) limited and one Dr. Musah Yamba Issahaku on April 25.
Investigations conducted by MyNewsGh.com reveal that the contest promises to be one of the heated in the Region with surprises expected taking into account the outcome of previous contests.
Meanwhile, the North East Regional Secretary of the NPP, Lawyer Sulley Sambian has revealed that a total of 14 aspirants filed to contest for the three slots in the constituency with Walelwale recording the highest.
In the Bunkpurugu Constituency where the Regional Minister Solomon Namliit Boar is seeking re-election, he is being contested by three others.
