The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority, Dr. Okoe Boye, has paid a working visit to the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. General Oppong-Peprah, at his office in Burma Camp, Accra.
The purpose of the visit was to congratulate Lt. General Oppong-Peprah on his new role as the Chief of Defence Staff and his elevation to the rank of Lieutenant General.
During the visit, Dr. Okoe Boye also extended an official invitation to him to the launch of his new book, titled Fellow Ghanaians. The book details Ghana's efforts in combating COVID-19, highlighting the country's fight against the pandemic, and the role of the Ghana Armed Forces in this endeavour and how the country can better prepare for any Pandemics in the future.
The book Fellow Ghanaians is forwarded by the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and will be officially launched on March 20th, 2023.
Dr. Okoe Boye commended the Ghana Armed Forces for their continuous efforts in assisting the nation during the COVID-19 crisis. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the National Health Insurance Authority and the Ghana Armed Forces in building the capacity of health staff and expanding health facilities.
Lt. General Oppong-Preprah expressed his gratitude for the visit and assured Dr. Okoe Boye of the Ghana Armed Forces' commitment to collaborating with the National Health Insurance Authority.
