Economic prosperity through miracles, philosophy or rhetoric not achievable - Dr. Sam Ankrah

Dr Sam Ankrah, an independent presidential candidate in Ghana’s upcoming 2024 elections, has voiced his concerns about the economic management of both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Dr Ankrah emphasizes the need to shift towards an independent-minded leader like himself, who possesses the economic prowess to turn things around for Ghana. He questions the intentions of the NDC and NPP, asking what they have to offer the nation and why they seek another chance. He points out that both John Dramani Mahama and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia have shown their reliance on the IMF, thereby raising doubts about their ability to independently manage the economy.

Expressing his astonishment, Dr Ankrah notes that intelligent and perceptive individuals continue to endorse the NDC and NPP despite their track record. He questions whether Ghanaians have become disillusioned, believing that only a select few possess the intellect capable of ruling the nation. Alternatively, he suggests that the citizens may simply be blind to the appropriate resources necessary for effective governance.

In response to these concerns, Dr Ankrah presents his Affordable Ghana contract (Manifesto), which focuses on ten pillars to make life more bearable for the people of Ghana. These pillars include affordable housing, healthcare, education, food, fuel, transportation, a business-friendly environment, a vigorous fight against corruption, sound economic policies, sustainable job creation, and an efficient government machinery.

Dr Ankrah urges Ghanaians to embrace this alternative vision and join hands to build an Affordable Ghana. He emphasizes that economic prosperity cannot be achieved through miracles, philosophy, or rhetoric, but rather through practical and pragmatic solutions.
