As part of efforts to promote healthcare and save lives, Firm Health Ghana Foundation, in collaboration with MTN and the Government Hospital in Bogoso, is organizing a blood donation exercise dubbed “Season of Love” on February 14, 2025.

The event will take place at St. Augustine’s Senior High School, Bogoso.

Themed “Save a Life with a Pint of Blood,” the initiative highlights the essence of love beyond romantic gestures, encouraging people to express care through voluntary blood donation.

Supported by GhanaWeb, this drive aims to replenish blood banks and ensure hospitals have an adequate supply for emergencies.

Firm Health Ghana Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare access and wellness, has been at the forefront of medical outreach programs in Ghana.

Through strategic partnerships with institutions like MTN and local health facilities, the foundation continues to advocate for community-driven solutions to health challenges.

According to the Director of Medical Services for Firm Health Ghana Foundation, Dr. Joseph Darko, "We are collaborating with MTN to carry out this blood donation exercise on Vals to fill the blood bank of the New Government Hospital, Bogoso so that when someone is in need, he or she would not have to struggle to get one"

He added that "there is no better gift to give on this day (Vals Day) than to donate blood to someone. Blood is Life, so if you donate blood, you give life, and this will put smiles on the faces of those who need it"

He called on individuals, organizations, and corporate bodies to support the cause by donating blood to help those in need, especially accident victims, surgical patients, and individuals with chronic illnesses requiring regular transfusions.

The event is expected to attract students, health professionals, and members of the public, fostering a culture of voluntary blood donation in Ghana.
