IndigoHomes took part in the highly anticipated Homowo Festival, which was organized by the Office of the Assembly Member of Oyarifa and took place from the 7th to the 10th of September 2023.
This vibrant festival brought together the Ga-Dangme people in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, to give thanks for a bountiful harvest and to seek blessings for the upcoming year.
IndigoHomes donated a full football jersey kit and a trophy to support the local football tournament, thereby promoting sportsmanship and fostering community involvement. Additionally, they provided various beverages and bags of rice to complement the sumptuous traditional dishes prepared for the culmination of the ceremony.
IndigoHomes draws inspiration from its parent company, BlackIvy, whose vision is to "Build Endeavors that Matter." Their commitment extends beyond developing state-of-the-art communities, to making a positive impact on the lives of the individuals residing in the vicinity of their developments.
To exemplify this dedication, 90% of the 300 workers involved in their projects come from the nearby community. These workers are not only employed but also provided with training to attain the level of craftsmanship that characterizes IndigoHomes' residences.
Anne Murungi, the Commercial Director at IndigoHomes, emphasized their profound belief in giving back to the communities they operate. She expressed their delight in participating in the Homowo Festival, recognizing its significance to the Ga people.
Anne Murungi stated, "IndigoHomes commits to making a positive impact on the communities it serves, not only through real estate developments but also through meaningful contributions that enrich the lives of the people living around our communities. We hope our contributions will enhance the festival experience for everyone."
