On Saturday, October 22, 2022, the fifth edition of the MTN Pulse Ghana 'Just Be Series,' hosted by MTN Pulse in collaboration with Ahaspora Professionals Network and MTN Ayoba, was held in Accra under the theme "Navigating New Market Trends". The entrepreneurship masterclass, which was aimed at up-and-coming and early- stage entrepreneurs focused on new marketing trends that must be monitored as well as the need for young entrepreneurs to position themselves uniquely to navigate the 'new normal.' Young Ghanaians between the ages of 18 and 30 who own a business, have an interest in entrepreneurship, aspire to start a business, struggle to sustain a business, manage a business for an employee, and want to network with other entrepreneurs made up the audience. The session, moderated by Citi TV/FM's Caleb Kudah, featured young entrepreneurs such as Zubaida Abdel-Rahman, Content Creator and Influencer; Christian Boakye Yiadom, CEO and Founder, CEQA Foods and Beverages, Ghana; Sydney Scott Sam, Founder, Workspace Global; and Dr. Michael Awua-Mensah, Dental Surgeon and Content Creator. During the sessions, the panellists gave in-depth presentations about their individual journeys and lessons learned. The goal is to provide first-hand information on local entrepreneurship experiences in order to encourage participation. Felicia Eduafowa Arthur, the Senior Programs Coordinator at Ahaspora, said, "we partnered with MTN Pulse because MTN Pulse is a Youthful segment of MTN Ghana and Ahaspora has a give-back component to our organization that we do through community engagement and mentoring." "Mentoring has been our key flagship program for the past nine years, and it has gained us a lot of partnerships, however, MTN Pulse saw Ahaspora has the bandwidth and the platform to push their agenda of supporting young entrepreneurs to empower them to be able to do something for themselves and also develop an entrepreneurial mindset "she added. We hope participants will pick some insightful tips and lessons from the resource persons to advance their own initiatives and businesses, as well as develop skills to deal with the challenges of entrepreneurship. Beyond this, we provide additional support through an Incubator program, in which we form a cohort of participants who joined online and in person and guide and equip them with practical tools through virtual workshops, allowing them to put what they've learned into action”.
