The chiefs and people of Anfoega Traditional Area climaxed this year's Easter festivities with a grand durbar at Anfoega Wademaxe on Saturday, the 30th of March, 2024.
In his keynote address on the theme: UNITING ANFOEGA CITIZENS FOR DEVELOPMENT-AN OBLIGATION FOR ALL, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV reminded the gathering about the need to ensure continuous and harmonic development attitudes.
He acknowledged citizens such as Mama Agudze II, the Queen mother of Anfoega Agudzi and others who have helped sustain development projects in the past and are still doing more.
He explained the reason for the choice of Wademaxe as the host being that Dzadikuma Easter is celebrated on a rotational basis, as a result, it was the turn of the left wing of Dzadikuma State, however, the lot fell on Wademaxe, belonging to the central wing because Wademaxe needs certain infrastructural uplifts such as the feeder road from Anfoega Post Office to Aveti to be upgraded.
Togbe Tepre Hodo IV seized the opportunity and admonished everyone about the divisive conduct of some chiefs including queenmothers especially involving the youth aimed at causing disaffection towards other chiefs and other people who are assisting with development and construction projects.
He therefore urged all and sundry, especially the youth to freely seek answers from those in charge of a particular affair, program or project for explanation and clarity.
Touching on the Anfoega Community and Cititizens Empowerment Project (ACCEP) (Community Center Project). Togbe assured that all income and expenditure on the project are available up to date, and available also in the state projects account at GCB Bank.
He therefore called on all citizens of Dzadikuma to come together to build one peaceful community in peace and unity. We should now focus on tarring the road from the post office to Wademaxe, he concluded.
