To commemorate this year’s Mother’s Day Celebrations and as part of its Social Impact Programmes, StarLife Assurance has collaborated with the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), to support 10 mission hospitals with essential medical supplies.

The donation includes a wide range of essential medical supplies, such as a Sphygmomanometer (mercury/aneroid), syringes, infra-red thermometers, gauze roll, fetoscope, infusion sets, kidney dish, urine bags, needles, scale, bed sheets, face mask, plaster, cotton wool, exam gloves, methylated spirit, bleach, disinfectants, detergents, tissues, and many others.

In addition to the medical supplies, StarLife also presented cheques to the hospitals to foot the unpaid bills of new mothers who are unable to pay their medical bills.

The Mission Hospitals that received support include Pentecost Hospitals, Madina and Tarkwa; Global Evangelical Mission Hospital, Kumasi; Assemblies of God Hospital, Saboba; King Medical Center, Bontanga; Siloam Mission Clinic, Obuasi; Bryant Mission Hospital, Obuasi; Manna Mission Hospital, Teshie; Siloam Hospital, Kasoa; Pentecost Community Clinic, Twifo Agona.

Presenting the medical supplies and cheque donations to the mission hospitals, the Chief Executive Officer of StarLife Assurance, Kakra Duffuor-Nyarko, emphasized the broader impact of their partnership with clients. "Our commitment extends beyond providing innovative insurance solutions," she stated. "We are dedicated to positively impacting the lives of Ghanaians in various ways.

Our mothers play crucial roles in our lives, and as part of our 'Sprinkle Stars Campaign' and in celebration of Mother’s Day, we decided to support the maternity wards of several mission hospitals. Additionally, we are covering the medical bills of nursing mothers who are unable to pay due to financial constraints."

Our partnership with the GPCC continues to grow stronger, and we are deeply grateful to the GPCC for collaborating with StarLife to support hospitals and mothers across the country.

The General Secretary of the GPCC, Apostle Immanuel Tettey, expressed his gratitude to StarLife for their steadfast partnership over the years and for the generous gesture extended towards mission hospitals and mothers. "This donation to the hospitals is both timely and crucial," said Apostle Tettey. "It ensures that each hospital can continue to deliver high-quality medical care safely and effectively to our mothers."

Apostle Tettey also encouraged other churches to join the GPCC to benefit from similar support from private organizations like StarLife Assurance.

StarLife Assurance and GPCC Partnership

In 2022, StarLife Assurance entered into a strategic partnership with the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC). This partnership is to provide tailor-made life insurance solutions that will secure member churches of GPCC, and their families, and ultimately support the Council.

By leveraging StarLife’s products and insurance expertise, this partnership allows GPCC members and their families to benefit from uniquely designed life insurance policies. Additionally, it supports GPCC’s projects and programs and provides job opportunities for the youth.
