Promasidor Ghana announces leadership change

As part of a strategic plan to strengthen its operations and drive robust growth across the ECOWAS region, the Promasidor Group has appointed Festus Tettey, the current CEO of Promasidor Ghana, as the CEO of ECOWAS excluding Nigeria, with immediate effect. Mr. Tettey will oversee operations across the rest of West Africa, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote D’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.

Additionally, the Group has appointed Mr. Samir Sadaoui as the new CEO for Ghana, effective January 6, 2025. He will report to the CEO of ECOWAS excluding Nigeria. Mr. Sadaoui brings extensive experience from his previous roles as the Commercial Director of Promasidor Algeria and Ghana, where he delivered outstanding results and achievements.

In a corporate communique, the Group commended Festus Tettey for his immense contribution to the robust and solid growth of Promasidor Ghana. Mr. Tettey has held numerous leadership roles, including Sales and Marketing Director, Ghana, Commercial Director of Promasidor Nigeria, and most recently, CEO of Promasidor Ghana for six years.

Promasidor Ghana Limited (PGH) is a leading food manufacturing company that has been providing quality food products for the past 25 years, following the launch of its flagship brand, Cowbell, in 1999. Since then, the company has pioneered beverage extensions of the Cowbell brand, such as Cowbell Coffee, Cowbell Strawberry, Cowbell Mocha, and Cowbell Chocomalt, among others.

Promasidor further exemplified its diverse manufacturing prowess with the launch of its Onga Powder and Tablets variants in 2003 and 2011, respectively. The company is also a major player in the Infant Cereal category with the Yum Vita brand, launched in 2014, and introduced its chocolate beverage, Twisco, to the market in 2023.
