Transformational Leadership Concept to engage Prof Effah Kaufmann on timekeeping in Ghana

The renowned Ghanaian professor and quiz mistress Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann will take her turn as the guest for TLC’s timekeeping dialogue, which is scheduled for Sunday, March 26, 2023.

Prof Elsie Kaufmann is expected to share her reflections on the timekeeping Culture in Ghana and how things can be done differently.

Commenting on the scheduled program, the Convener of TLC, Togbe Kwasinyi Kakaklolo Agyeman V said ‘’We are very excited to host Prof. Effah Kaufman for our 7th dialogue session as we planned to host the grand national dialogue scheduled to take place this year. Prof Effah Kaufmann will dissect this crucial national issue and a critical aspect of our lives that many of us struggle with managing effectively’’.

The session, titled "Ghana’s Timekeeping Culture- Reflections of Prof Elsie Effah Kaufmann," will explore timekeeping from women’s perspective, the role of leadership in helping to establish a proper timekeeping attitude in Ghana and practical tips for young people to be better timekeepers. Prof Kaufmann will also engage the audience to answer their questions and concerns.

Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann is an Associate Professor and founding Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the University of Ghana.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE), a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering, all from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. She is the current host of the National Science and Maths Quiz.

The event is open to everyone and will be held on Zoom and stream live on Facebook. It will be chaired by Togbe Kwasinyi Kakakloklo Agyeman V, the chief of Adidome and communications for change advocate, and will be hosted by Mrs. Georgina, Asare Fiagbenu, a communication for development advocate.

The dialogue series has featured distinguished personalities such as Prof. Lade Wosornu, a retired surgeon, poet, and a fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, Nana Kwasi Gyan Apenteng, communication and culture expert, Mr. Sydney Casely Hayford, social commentator, Manasseh Awuni, journalist and a social commentator, Ibrahim K. Asante, International speaker, trainer and peak performance strategist, Mrs. Comfort Ocran, motivational speaker and author, Mrs. Ewurabena Benin, learning facilitator and author, Yvonne Oppong Ayisi, a manager at CBG, Capt (rtd) Prince Kofi Amoabeng among others.

The national timekeeping initiative is targeted at policymakers, media, legislators, event organizers, corporate leaders, politicians, teachers, professionals, the youth, civil society, and behavioral change agents.
