The Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network has held a fruitful partnership
meeting with the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Her Excellency Fatima Maada Bio at the Sierra Leonean national capital, Freetown.
The purpose of the meeting was to finalise the discussion on the partnership agreement between the Office of the First Lady of Sierra Leone and the YAWC Network for the Young African Women Congress 2023 annual continental convocation which will be held in Sierra Leone in November this year.
The parties clarified their partnership agreement and resolved to address the Sierra Leonean Press and the International Media tomorrow Friday 18th August, 2023 to publicly announce their intention to hold the Young African Women Congress 2023 annual continental convocation in Sierra Leone.
The meeting which was attended by a delegation from the YAWC Network included Mr
Daniel Osei Tuffuor, the Executive Chairperson of the Network globally; Dr Eunice Emmanuel, Nigeria Chapter President of the Network; Michaela Y. Kargbo, Esq.
Sierra Leone Chapter President of the Network and Huldah Rhodah Bangura, Sierra Leone Chapter Secretary/Treasurer of the Network. The others were Melford Vincent-Marrah, Esq.; Grace Bella Kamara, Esq. and Johnette A. Kanu, all, members of the YAWC Network Sierra Leone Chapter.
The Office of the First Lady was represented by H. E. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone; Sheikh Salim Feika, Chief of Staff at the office of the First Lady of Sierra Leone and Jariatu Darboe, Personal Assistant to the First Lady of Sierra Leone.
