In previous years, LynneX Ventures’ Save the Children campaign has made a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children across Ghana. One of the most urgent cases the organization is currently handling is that of Nhyira Afrema Tano, an 8-year-old girl battling leukaemia.

Nhyira has depended on continuous medication throughout 2025 as her life hangs in the balance. After her situation was brought to the attention of LynneX Foundation, the group set up a GoFundMe account to raise money toward her treatment.

To draw attention to her case, the foundation produced a short documentary detailing Nhyira’s health struggles and the emotional strain on her family. The video gained traction on social media, prompting support from relatives, friends, and well-wishers.

Donations received so far have helped cover daily hospital expenses while the family hoped the total amount would be enough to fund advanced treatment abroad.

However, information available on the GoFundMe page shows that the funds raised are still far from what is needed to cover the cost of specialized surgery and overseas treatment.

Nhyira has been receiving care at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Cancer Unit since 2025. Despite ongoing treatment, her condition has not significantly improved. The illness has resulted in the loss of her right eye.

Doctors have indicated that her best chance of survival is an urgent surgical procedure to prevent the cancer from spreading further, along with intensive treatment to manage the leukaemia.

Her condition remains critical, and time is running out. LynneX Foundation, together with Nhyira’s family, is appealing to the public for urgent financial support to secure the treatment she needs.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, could help give Nhyira a fighting chance. The appeal is simple but urgent: support efforts to save her life before it is too late.
