Telecel Ghana has congratulated Professor Christian Agyare on his appointment as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The company’s leadership paid a courtesy visit to Professor Agyare to congratulate him and discuss ways to strengthen the partnership between Telecel Ghana and the university.

The discussions focused on digital infrastructure and improving reliable connectivity for students and faculty.

Telecel Ghana’s Director of Finance, Samuel Owusu-Mensah, said the company remains committed to supporting KNUST’s digital transformation and responding to the changing needs of the university.

He said the company would continue to support access to digital tools that enable students and faculty to create knowledge, solve problems and contribute to national development.

Professor Agyare welcomed the engagement and acknowledged the importance of the partnership to KNUST’s academic and research activities.

He said reliable digital infrastructure has become essential to teaching, learning and innovation, and expressed the university’s readiness to explore further opportunities for collaboration with Telecel Ghana.

KNUST has partnered with Telecel Ghana over the years as its connectivity partner, with the company supporting initiatives aimed at improving digital access and connectivity across the university.

The partnership also has a connection to Telecel Ghana’s Chief Executive Officer, Ing. Patricia Obo-Nai, who was recently recognised as one of KNUST’s distinguished alumni in the university’s 75th anniversary publication, 70 Years of Global Impact.

Telecel Ghana said it looks forward to deepening its relationship with KNUST under Professor Agyare’s leadership, particularly in advancing science, technology and innovation in Ghana.
