Samuella Nyamekye Agyapong, popularly known as Lady Nyamekye
Samuella Nyamekye Agyapong, popularly known as Lady Nyamekye, a 9-year-old budding highlife sensation from Suma Ahenkro in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region, will be celebrating her 10th birthday at the Compassion is Love in Action Charity Home at Yawhima.
The birthday event scheduled for August 6, 2025, by Lady Nyamekye, a contestant in the 2025 Star Kids Africa Talented Kids Show, is part of plans for her highly anticipated grand durbar, set for Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the behest of the Paramount Chief of Suma, Odeneho Dr Afram Brempong III, at Suma Ahenkro.
The gesture reflects her deeply rooted belief in giving back to society and her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others, especially the most vulnerable.
Born to Seth Agyapong and Beatrice Asare, the Class 3 pupil of Peniel Glory Preparatory School, Lady Nyamekye has risen to national prominence through her gift for highlife music.
With her original single, “Call to action,” and her consistent stage excellence, she has emerged as a front-runner in the ongoing 13-week competition. Now in Week 6, she has remarkably won an award every single week, ranging from Most Voted Contestant to Best Performer and Best Costume.
Beyond the music, Lady Nyamekye has shown remarkable emotional intelligence and compassion well beyond her years. Notably is a social experiment in which she disguised herself as a struggling child, observing the reactions of strangers. Those who showed kindness were later gifted by her a powerful reminder that generosity still lives among us.
Lady Nyamekye is not just entertaining the nation; she is teaching it. Through her music, actions, and character, she is setting a new standard for what it means to be a star with a purpose.
