The General Secretary of the All Progressive Congress Razak Kojo Opoku has defected to the New Patriotic Party less than 24 hours to the country’s general elections.
Opoku recently clashed with the flagbearer of APC Hassan Ayariga over which political party the APC should endorse ahead of the general elections.
In a release Tuesday, Opoku stated that he is no more a member and General Secretary of Corruptible John Mahama/Hassan Ayariga All People's Congress (APC).
According to him, the quality leadership, tolerant and peace-loving nature of Nana Akufo-Addo convinced him to defect to the elephant family.
He added that he will forever remain a loyal member of the NPP till his death.
Ghanaians go to the polls tomorrow, Wednesday December 7 to elect a new president and parliamentarians. Incumbent John Dramani Mahama is seeking a second term in office.
His main contender is NPP’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo who is contesting for a third time.
