Ashitey Armarh to contest Titus Glover in Tema East

Mr Benjamin Nii Ashitey Armarh, has picked a form to contest the the Tema East parliamentary ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Armarh, who is married with one child and works with Intermodal Shipping Agency, picked the form to contest the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mr Daniel Nii Kwatei Titus Glover.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Armarh said it was his aim to serve all residents of Tema East constituency” with humility, and be accessible and accountable to them.”

He indicated that when elected a candidate and subsequently an MP, he would engage the people to know their needs and grievances in order to contribute meaningfully towards the formulation of laws in Parliament.

Mr Armarh who is a native of Tema Manhean, said even though he was not an MP, he has been using his personal money to pay school fees for party members’ children, among other things.

The MP hopeful, also indicated that the NPP needed somebody who would pull more votes for the party during the 2016 election.

He stated that the chances of the incumbent to keep the seat in the 2016 election could not be guaranteed hence the need for the party to give him the parliamentary ticket.

Mr Armarh called on the delegates to vote for him come June 13, 2015, to ensure a concrete win over the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with a bigger margin.
