The Savannah Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mrs. Judith Mabel Micah, has been confirmed dead after battling a life-threatening injury following a road accident.
It would be recalled that the educationist was involved in a car crash on the Kumasi-Accra highway in February this year.
The accident reportedly occurred between Suhum and Nsawam on a Monday morning.
The regional storekeeper, Mr. Baba Wusamah, who was traveling with Mrs. Micah, died on the spot.
While the regional director was to attend a meeting with the Director General of the GES, Mr. Wusamah was to attend a meeting of storekeepers upon invitation by the Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
Reports suggested Mrs. Judith Mabel Micah was in critical condition after the accident and had been receiving treatment until her passing on Friday, September 27, 2024.
A statement from the headquarters of the Ghana Education Service (GES) announcing her death reads: “The Ghana Education Service (GES) regrets to announce the passing of the Savannah Regional Director, Mrs. Judith Mabel Micah, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a tragic accident in February this year.
