The Manhyia Palace has lifted the ban on noise making, funerals and drumming in the Kumasi metropolis and regions of Asante extraction.
The Palace led by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has expressed appreciation to the general public for commiserating with them during the death and burial of the thirteenth queen mother Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II.
The traditional subcommittee of the Asantehemaa’s burial planning committee led by Nana Osei Kwaku II, Saamahene who announced this explained that it has become necessary to lift the ban after the weeklong burial rites of the queen mother ended yesterday.
The ban was immediately enforced when the Asantehemaa died on November 14, 2016.
