NDC Serial Caller Dr. Asemfoforo is dead
Former serial phone-in contributor and staunch defender of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Osei Yaw Nketia, otherwise known as Dr. Asemfoforo has died.
Son of the 51-year-old deceased Ampem Kwabena Wireko who confirmed his death to mynewsgh.com, said his father has been ill for some time now and was on admission at the 37 military Hospital in Accra until he died on Easter morning.
“It is true that my father is dead. He died this morning at the 37 military hospital where he was on admission. The family is currently holding a meeting towards his funeral and other arrangement”, he said.
Dr. Asemfoforo who is a critic of the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) was very vocal under the erstwhile President John Agyekum Kufuor’s administration and to some extent organized a one man demonstration against certain policies implemented by government at the time.
He reportedly went quit such criticism when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won power in 2008 and took over the reigns of governance in 2009 till it exited power in 2016.
Prior to 2016 election however , he switched camp and endorsed the flagbearer of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) Dr Papa Kwesi .
According to him, both NDC and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have failed to accelerate Ghana’s development thus another term given to either of them was meant be a disaster.
He said Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom given his track record as an astute businessman and an entrepreneur, if given the nod will save Ghana from total collapse.
