During the operation, the security team visited several communities including Dabo, Wechiau, Kendeu, Lassia, Gadi, Ga and Poyentanga, where they engaged elders, youth and market women on issues of safety and security.

Community members were encouraged to support the work of the security agencies by volunteering information on criminal activities. The team also cautioned residents against shielding criminals, engaging in illicit drug abuse and trafficking, as well as the illegal possession and sale of firearms and ammunition.

Residents were further sensitised on the legal requirements for firearms ownership and the importance of responsible handling.

At Lassia, DCOP Francis Yiribaare assured residents of the Police’s determination to intensify investigations to locate the bodies of two murdered youth, while appealing to the community to cooperate with investigators to help bring the perpetrators to justice.

The exercise concluded at the Poyentanga Market where the team interacted with a large number of traders and residents on the importance of maintaining peace and supporting security efforts in the area.

The operation was conducted peacefully, with community members expressing appreciation to the security services for their continued presence and commitment to maintaining law and order.
