Professor Jane Naana expresses concerns for Kejetia fire victims as she receives crowd cheering

Very interesting scenes were recorded during a visit to the New Kejetia Market in Kumasi by the NDC's running mate for the 2024 election, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.

The professor who paid a short time visit to the traders at Kejetia received a crowd cheering during her entry as a sign of love.

Most of these people who claded and adorned in NDC colours sang praises to cheer the 2020 and 2024 running mate.

Describing her as the perfect match for John Dramani Mahama, most of these supporters could be heard singing;

Addressing the section of traders after a welcome message by the trader management, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang assured that the NDC party, led by John Dramani Mahama had seen the sufferings of most women doing business in the various markets and hence decided to provide a conducive environment for smooth business transactions. She further revealed that the Mahama-led NDC administration was committed to uplifting the well-being and image of women, especially when it comes to decision-making.

She said the short time visit was meant to extend regards to the traders as part of an event she attended in Kumasi on behalf of the flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

Thanking the traders for the massive love shown to her and the NDC, she said, the wellbeing of the people was still at heart and the only thing needed is for Ghanaians to give the NDC a massive endorsement during the 2024 election.

Sympathizing with the victims who were affected by the Kejetia fire outbreak that occurred in March 2023 she said, it was an utmost priority of the NDC to secure the wellbeing of these victims adding that plans were far advanced to resurrect these traders should the NDC gain power.

Expressing worry over how victims of the new Kejetia fire outbreak have been abandoned for many months by the NPP government. She chastised President Nana Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia for not fixing the portion of the Kejetia Market that was burnt more than a year ago, despite making several promises.

Touting the resilient leadership of John Dramani Mahama for making the existence of the New Kejetia Market a possibility, the former Education Minister said, that entrusting power back into the hands of the NDC will see many transformations in Ghana.

She however appealed to them to change their voting patterns and vote massively for the John Dramani-led NDC so that they can complete phase II of the central market.

Meanwhile, the NDC running mate was accompanied by some key personalities such as the national women organiser, Dr. Hannah Bissiw, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Andrew Nana Kwasi, the Ashanti Regional women's wing led by the regional women's organiser, the regional communications bureau and a host of many others.
