They both died after the collision
Two people have tragically died in a motor accident at Zonda, a suburb of Buduburam along the Kasoa-Winneba highway.
The victims include an unidentified market woman, believed to be in her late thirties, and a motorbike rider in his early thirties.
Eyewitnesses, speaking to the media, said the woman, who was carrying fish in a basket, was crossing the road to join a car headed for the market when she was struck by the speeding motorbike. She died instantly on the scene.
The motorbike rider, who was travelling from Fetteh Kakraba towards Liberia Camp, also lost his life in the collision. Witnesses pointed to excessive speed and the use of the inner lane—which is currently under construction—as contributing factors to the accident.
The Awutu Bereku Police have transported the bodies to St. Gregory Hospital and have launched an investigation into the incident.
