One thing I've learned is that ebryevody is different. To keep an employee happy you have to know what makes them happy. Often a little thing can mean a lot. Psychologists say that it comes from experiences when we're kids. If somebody still remembers the applause they got in a piano recital when they were 10 years old, they probably respond well to public praise, so praise the heck out of them in front of the group when they do something well and they'll work harder than ever.It's all about figuring out what makes them tick. This can take time, but I've found it to be well worth the effort when my employees churn out great work again and again.
