Ecowas is not perfect but good organization. Mali country is the root cause of all the recent problems in west Africa. They overthrew President Toure 3 months to the election that cause the instabilities, Ecowas military went there and brought peace and stability that led to transitional government followed by electing IBK. Now the military overthrew him again.
