What was the objective of the war and is it worth celebrating it. There was war or misunderstanding between the fantis and the Ashanti's over the business of the slaves. The British made the fantis or merchants of cape coast the middlemen while the kumasianos the receivers of the slaves. At one point in time the Ashantia/kumasianos felt cheated and decided to meet the British direct. it was actually fantis Ashanti war limited to cape coast and kumasi. The British felt the kumasi people are breaking protocols and the need to put them in order and decided to burn kumasi, that was really bad. This isn't worth celebrating. Our attitude of breaking protocols to meet directors and president over little issues date back many years and is a contributing factor to our under development.
The British and whites re not intelligent than us they are only knowledge some have precise knowledge from their first to over tenth generation family that enables them to take critical and wise decisions it's hard to know even our third generation family some of those who know also this feed us with untruthful info hence affecting our progress in many ways from I'll health and so on and so on
