The last name Charment is well-know to be associated with the Desmond Charment family, very prominent in Mim from the 50’s till the last sibling of Desmond died and buried in Mim only a few years ago. The Charment family founded the Mim Timber Company which was at its peak one of the leading employers in Ghana and foreign exchange earners for the country. The patriarch of the family, Desmond Charment, thought originally Irish-Swiss virtually grew up in Ghana and married about four Ghanaian ladies. Therefore, all Desmond’s children are Ghanaians by birth, each child’s mother being a Ghanaian. Therefore, immigration officers profiling any of Desmond Charment’s children being “Oboroni” is ridiculous. I lived in Mim in the ‘60s and 70’s with my uncle who worked for Mim Timber Company as a Senior Officer and lived next door the the house of the father of Desmond. The Charment family is as Mim as apple pie and Coca Cola to the U.S.A. The Ghana Immigration should pull up their socks, learn from this unfortunate profiling and better train their officers.

Pretending they were there to also buy. The gentleman was busy buying his things and they followed him there thinking they can extract money from him. The world should know that this is the criminal behavior of Ghanaians. When they see you leaving good as a foreigner in Ghana, they get very envious, the next thing on their minds will be to steal from you by force or by intimidation.

Someone gave the two immigration this information to stalk the gentleman and exploit him by taking money from him so they can share and give he or she a percentage. Sharing cursed money by causing others pains.. let's say he was a foreigner without any Ghanaian parents, and SO WHAT? Are Ghanaians not foreigners in so many countries around the world? This tribalism and racism is very alive in Ghana... They fight day and night to kill businesses own by foreigners in Ghana... Before you do business you must connect to some powerful people in the country otherwise they will not only destroy your business which took you years to build, they will wish you dead for ever trying to succeed in their country called Ghana.

And many of them are very lazy pretending to be active or working but secretly bitter and very wounded in spirit. They can pretend like chamaeleon. They are very greedy not willing to suffer and make it like those who have but looking for a way to take the money others have made by force. Thank God for the CCTV camera. It should circulate around the world so they can see the racism in Ghana. They like to act as though other African countries are thieves and they are the saints. Hiding their crimes under the pillows. Hypocritical beings.

You are in parliament when detrimental policies are implemented, you refused to pin foot on the ground and see the impact on the future of your political party. You can't eat npp as long as Ghana card is the only means of identity in Ghana. Mark my words.

Stop the discrimination in Ghana otherwise very soon foreigners will be avoiding Ghana and moving to other African countries to invest their money. How will the government guarantee the security of foreigners here if this kind of wicked inhuman behavior is exhibited by immigration officers because of skin color. Ghanaians have British passports, Ghanaians have American passports and American national identity. Seeing the card with a foreigner means he is a citizen abroad. No British immigration will assault you for holding a British identification as a black man. It's cruelty and evil to do this.

Sack the immigration officers and out it on news as deterrent to other officers and assurance to the international community. So many foreigners have bad experience in Ghana.. thought the news outlets are hiding these bunch of information, but I can assure you that it's piling up! It will rush out someday and this will bring a great damage to the good image of Ghana. There are very great men who rule Ghana in the past who paid the sacrifice with their lives. Don't just come into government to leave lavishly. Please check your legacies

There are so many foreigners holding Ghanaian documents and all of us should be concerned. I have lived in many countries and I have been asked many times to prove that I am legally living in the country. I have been questioned before. They officials have every right to question you. All you need to do is communicate with them with respect. If you think you are above the law because of whatever, surely they are justified to use force. They are just doing their job. They guy should not resist if he knows he is Ghanaian.
