Supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region have described Johnson Samlafo, the current Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organizer, as a young leader whose professional and academic credentials make him a valuable asset to the party.

Speaking to the media, party members said Samlafo’s rich CV is “a political currency the Volta NDC can spend anywhere,” praising his ability to strengthen financial management and governance within the region.

According to supporters, “When it comes to financial management and accountability, Johnson Samlafo is an iroko tree, steady, reliable, and unshakable. The party can rely on his expertise and integrity to safeguard resources.”

Samlafo, who is yet to officially declare his intention to contest for the position of Volta Regional Deputy Treasurer, holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and an MBA in Oil and Gas Management from the University of Cape Coast, a Bachelor of Laws from Central University College, and is currently undergoing professional legal training at the Ghana School of Law (Makola).

He has served as Accountant at Agbogba Community Hospital and Principal Accountant at Prampram Senior High School, giving him extensive experience in public sector finance.

Supporters also praised his political and youth leadership, noting his tenure as Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organizer, membership on the Volta Regional Youth Working Committee, and leadership roles in the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) at the University of Cape Coast.

They described him as selfless, approachable, and well-connected, capable of putting the Volta Region on both the national and international stage.

“A tree does not make the forest alone, but Johnson Samlafo brings strength and stability to the entire Volta NDC family,” said one supporter.

“His professional background is not just a CV but a tool for progress and accountability.”

With his combination of financial expertise, legal knowledge, and grassroots engagement, many believe Samlafo is well-positioned to make a significant contribution as Volta Regional Deputy Treasurer, ensuring that the Volta NDC remains transparent, accountable, and forward-looking.
