  1)The whole idea of renaming the airport is being championed by the Gas on tribal grounds. We all know that the gas are the laziest and low IQ people in Ghana who only want to achieve relevance in recent times by either clinching to national assets found on their land or by downplaying and insulting the achievements of other tribes they comes no where near. 2) One of their supporting claims was that Kotoka was a coup maker and that, he doesn't deserve any honour. Forgetting that the very ndc party that has made you whoever you are today (Mr Prez) was founded by a multiple coup maker (JJ Rawlings). So, the best way to dishonour coup makers is to resign first from your present position (Mr Prez). 3). Finally, let's not forget that, the very crop of Ghanaians who built the airport with their sweat were the same people who named the airport after Kotoka, because they had a practical experience at the time, and wanted to communicate to us (the present Ghanaians) about their real experience and belief at the time. Let's not think we know better than them by reversing what they wanted to tell us with our oversimplified views. Our focus on naming national assets to honour our heroes should be on assets we build in our time to also tell our stories to the future generations, but not just changing the stories of our ancestors to suit our whims and caprices, as if we know better than them.

  Why was Accra International Airport initially changed to Kotoka? Why? Reversing the name to its original name is a perfect choice. Especially, considering Kotoka's history to Ghana.
