That is not the issue it was an alliance which had the potential of ending at anytime. Abuakwa, Kotoku and Bosome are all Akyems yet independent in their own right. There is therefore no official title as Okyehene, unlike that of the Asantehene who has been able to bring all Asantes under one umbrella. Same applies to the Ya Naa with the Dagombas and the Yabonwura with the Gonjas. The Adansis, for instance, could break away from Asanteman but have chosen to let the status quo be, because of good leadership.

You are not serious. Do you know where the name Okyenehene comes from? It comes from Adansi Kokobiante where the Asona regent comes from, Apeanin Kwaframoah. KOTOKU and Bosome are not Akyems but Bosome and Denkyira respectively. They are just beneficiaries of Okyeman through Ohemaa Dokuaa. KOTOKU lands are from Bomfa to Dampong in Asante Akyem and they lost that in war with Opoku Ware. They therefore begged for a place to stay and were given Osino and after the Gyadam war they given a place by Osawuo at Nswayem now Oda. Bosome were also given a place by Okyenehene Dokuaa at Tarkwa lands in Swedru. Odau is part of the Juabeng people who were displaced by Kumasi during the Juabeng and Asante wars hence sought a place to settle. They don't have lands to break away. The land belongs to Okyenehene and you will see in coming days they don't have any land. Koforidua is another Akyem land of Kukuratomi which they gave to the same Juabeng refugees to settle and pay annual ground rent of 1 pound which was done till Nkrumah become president and cancelled it.

So you don't know anything about Akyem history but you claim to know. The allodial owner of most lands in the Eastern region was Akwamu but the raging Okyenehene Kuntunkunuku from Adansi took all the lands from Asamankese to the mountains. Just for your information, it's the Akyems who led the formation of Akwapim too and that is why it's Ofori Kumah Stool. Okyenehene is not comparing himself to anyone but those making noise don't have any place. Least you know, all the chiefs in the Odau area has repledged their support to Okyenehene just last week. Why should a paramount Chief create dispute where there is no disputes? Can a paramount Chief distool a Divisional Chief? NO !!! The only groups of people or person that can distool a Divisional chief are:
1. The queen mother
2. The royal family of the stool
3. The king makers of that stool
4. The people or community or division of that stool.

If you, the paramount Chief, distool him and the above mentioned groups insist that they want him as their chef, what happens? A paramount Chief takes allegiance of a Divisional Chiefs but can not enstool or distool him. The paramount Chief should have known that as he (the paramount Chief) is Omanhene, the Divisional chief is also Obremponghene, hence you can't take any minor decision on him. He can even decide to break away from your traditional state.

Even if he has shown disrespect and rebellious act, report him to his king makers and royal family/head. You don't take unilateral decision as a paramount Chief. You create conflict within the division when you do that as a paramount Chief.

This is a shame on the part of the paramount Chief & the standing committee. Let's give peace a chance all the time & stop abusing power.
