Nana Debrah Bekoe, CEO of AIG, has been honoured for his humanitarian and grassroots work.
Nana Debrah Bekoe Isaac, Chief Executive Officer of the AS I GROW Organization (AIG), a non governmental organization, has been recognised for his outstanding contributions to humanitarian service and grassroots development at two separate events.
At the 5th Edition of the Diamond Excellence Awards (DEA), held at Akyem Kade in the Eastern Region on May 1, 2026, Nana Debrah Bekoe Isaac received the prestigious Diamond Excellence Award in Humanitarian Leadership and Community Development.
The event, organised by Danny’s Entertainment, celebrated individuals making significant impact across various sectors.
He was presented with a citation, plaque, medal and a diamond award in recognition of his sustained commitment to addressing challenges in rural communities and amplifying the voices of underserved populations.
In the citation, organisers commended his “tireless dedication to grassroots advocacy and sustainable development,” noting that his leadership continues to illuminate pathways for inclusive growth and community empowerment.
Speaking after receiving the award, Nana Debrah expressed gratitude to his team, donors, media partners and supporters who continue to contribute to the vision of AS I GROW Organization.
He emphasised that the recognition reflects a collective effort rather than individual achievement.
“It is all about service to humanity and the rural world,” he stated, adding that the honour would further inspire the organisation to deepen its impact.
Organisers of the Diamond Excellence Awards underscored the need to celebrate achievers during their lifetime.
Chief Executive Officer of Danny’s Entertainment, Daniel Walker, observed that many contributors to national development are often honoured posthumously, and called for a shift towards recognising excellence while beneficiaries are still alive.
In a related development, Nana Debrah Bekoe Isaac also received a special recognition award from the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, during the Church’s ongoing General Council Meeting at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region.
The honour was in acknowledgment of his humanitarian service and contributions to community development through AS I GROW Organization.
Reacting to the recognition, he attributed the achievement to divine grace and collective support. “This is the doing of the Lord. To God be the glory,” he said.
He reiterated appreciation to all stakeholders supporting the organisation’s mission, reaffirming his commitment to advancing development initiatives in rural Ghana.
AS I GROW Organization has, over the years, been involved in advocacy and interventions aimed at improving livelihoods in underserved communities, with a strong focus on sustainable development and social inclusion.
