Princess Jannis Acheampong calls for respect and appreciation for mothers

As Mother’s Day approaches, philanthropist and entrepreneur Princess Jannis Acheampong is calling on Ghanaians to show greater love, respect, and appreciation for mothers in recognition of their sacrifices and unwavering support for their families and communities.

According to her, mothers play a vital role in shaping society through their care, resilience, and commitment to raising children, often under challenging circumstances.

“Our mothers go through so much to raise us. This is the time to celebrate them, appreciate their efforts, and remind them how special they are to us,” she said.

Princess Jannis Acheampong noted that while Mother’s Day provides an opportunity to honour women, the recognition and support mothers deserve should extend far beyond a single day.

To mark this year’s celebration, the Princess Jannis Foundation is organising activities aimed at supporting and recognising mothers in various communities.

Beyond her advocacy for women and families, Princess Jannis Acheampong has been involved in numerous charitable initiatives focused on improving the lives of vulnerable groups.

Through her foundation, she has supported widows facing financial difficulties, including helping to settle medical bills.

She has also assisted underprivileged children through direct interventions and partnerships with community organisations.

She believes that empowering mothers and supporting families can have a lasting impact on society and help build stronger communities.
