  Which political party has won more elections in those Districts since 1992? Definitely it is NDC so NDC has been the cause of their poverty. Most of their political leaders have houses in Accra & Tema far expensive than their colleagues from Akan territories, why can't they back to invest in their hometown?

  Poverty is a way of thinking and not just a lack of money or things! Why the nothing regions where FREE education started in the 50s? Aside the north, why is poverty prevalent at all the Zongos everywhere in Ghana? The GSS must not leave the report like that, they must tell us the causes so people can change their minds. If a bicycle repairer without any reliable income marries 4 women and each woman gives birth to at least 4 kids, what do you expect? Just consider the conflicts going on in the north, how many people from the south shall willingly move investment there? Would they troop to the south if the southerners are on each others throat? Look at armed robbery cases, greater percentage are from the north.
  It is an internal problem that needs internal solution. This is so because anyone who tries to hit the nail right on the head would be deemed to be tribalistic. Poverty has nothing to do with places but MINDSETS.
