the shoulders of the streets are mainly untarred and sandy so if you noticed, most pedestrians opt to walk on the paved portions leading to blowing of horns etc. It is however not an excuse to hit. The various municipalities ...

stepping in a car and turning the steering wheel and accelerator is not all what is required of a good driver. Observing your surroundings, taking other road users into account is the deal !
