Watch CCTV footage of horrific crash at Tema Community 8

A CCTV camera captured a horrific accident involving a pick-up truck at Tema Community 8 on June 7, 2026.

Footage of the incident shows the vehicle suddenly hitting a man who was walking along the side of a street in the community.

The pick-up truck, which was reportedly travelling at high speed, veered to the other side of the road where the man was walking.

The video shows the man attempting to move out of the way after realising the vehicle was heading towards him, but it was too late.

The impact was so severe that the man was thrown nearly 50 metres from the point of contact.

At least three men got out of the vehicle to check on the victim, who was lying unresponsive on the ground.

An onlooker who witnessed the incident could be heard urging the men to call an ambulance for help.

The time on the CCTV footage indicates that the incident occurred a few minutes after 3:00 pm on June 7.

According to social media reports, the victim was a young man identified as Bernard. The reports indicate the crash occurred near Top Pill Pharmacy at Community 8.

Local security authorities have yet to comment on the incident.
