Do you blame emergency Nurses when you are told that you can’t be admitted because there is no Admission Bed? Perhaps the best that can be done is to stabilize you but not admit you.
I have been at Grady Memorial Hospital during a Health Emergency. I was not admitted but made to sit in a chair for about 24 hours where I was being treated. It is extremely uncomfortable. I saw some Patients, who out of frustration decided to leave and go home.
I am of the view that all our Regional and District Medical Centers should be upgraded and have enough qualified Medical Professionals. Not all cases should be referred to KATH and Korle Bu which are always full and overstretched. Our Governments spend too much money on Politics instead of Roads, Health, and Education. When Politicians are very sick, the Government takes them to the West for even more expensive Medical Care. What about the BROKE MAN or WOMAN like me? We shall be left to die.Don’t blame the Medical Professionals. Just visit Korle Bu or KATH EMERGENCY at the Hospitals. There are no places to even squat. Patients sleep on the bare floor with no Blankets or Covers. They are just not available. Do you blame the Nurses and Doctors for this? This tells you the kinds of Politicians we have and how they spend the money of the country.

The Police knows them but they just protect them because they have this daily bribe arrangements with those crooked drivers. Until the police service especially the MTU repents and enforces the law Ghana is doomed.

We need to do something to sanitize the system because that area is crazy . Nothing worse there. There’s no law , no police on the road , and drivers safety is always at stake
